IN HEAVEN: By Chuck Griffis

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven – Matthew 6:10

In heaven, there won’t be a black church or white church, we’ll meet in the presence of God, in that holy city – we’ll meet as one, in one place. There won’t be any white brethren, or black brethren; we’ll be God’s children, His chosen race.

In heaven, there won’t be any rich or poor; none that are more privileged, while others are oppressed. There will be no such thing as the other side of the tracks, nor any haves and have nots; singing with the angels, and streets of gold; we’ll all be blessed.

In heaven, there won’t be any political platforms, and this side of the aisle, or that side of the aisle; there won’t be a far left or a far right. There won’t be any conservatives or liberals, nor any political speeches and empty promises; we’ll be surrounded by a righteousness in a never-ending Light.

IF God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven, then when will that happen? If change is to come, and progress is to be made, when will it start? The earth is far from ever being what heaven will be, however, His church can make a difference if we all do our part.

Haven’t really thought of it that way Chuck. I really like the phrase “and empty promises.”
